Un universo posible: la colección documental de Gastón Doucet

Abstract

Buscaremos enmarcar la actividad académica del historiador y abogado Gastón Doucet en torno a la historia del Derecho Indiano, reponer sus publicaciones para destacar y contextualizar la importancia del fondo “Colección Gastón Gabriel Doucet” del acervo del ABNB, el cual reúne una importante selección de documentos públicos y privados dedicada al marquesado del Valle de Tojo. También destacaremos la biblioteca que reunió, hoy perteneciente al Instituto Max Planck de Historia y Teoría del Derecho.

We aim to resume the academic activity of the historian and lawyer Gastón Doucet around the history of Indian Law, replenish his publications to highlight and contextualize the importance of the “Gastón Gabriel Doucet Collection” fund from the ABNB collection, which brings together an important selection of public and private documents dedicated to the marquisate of the Tojo Valley. We will also highlight the library he assembled, which belongs to the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Theory.
