La educación Prohibida. Una caricaturización de la escuela pública

Abstract

El artículo propone un análisis del documental La educación prohibida (estrenado en agosto de 2012 y disponible en la web) desde una perspectiva que atiende, especialmente, al efecto de sentido que cobra la representación caricaturesca de la educación básica en oposición a otras propuestas pedagógicas que aparecen igualmente simplificadas en torno a la concepción que construyen del juego como instancia de aprendizaje. El objetivo general de este artículo es poner en evidencia la estructura argumental que construye este texto audiovisual y reflexionar hasta dónde contribuye a pensar de modo complejo la relación entre infancia, juego y escuela

The purpose of this article is to provide a critical review of the documentary film ‘La educación prohibida’ (released in August 2012 and available online) from a perspective that focuses mainly on the meaning attached to the caricaturesque representation of conventional education and how this negative depiction is used to create a contrast with different methodological approaches that are equally simplified and that embrace a more ‘holistic’ and game-based approach. As previously mentioned, the purpose of this article is to turn the spotlight on the argumentative structure build by the documentary as an audiovisual text and to reflect upon the way the film contributes (or not) to thinking in a complex fashion the relationship between childhood, game and school
