Resumen
A novel electromagnetic model for the human finger is proposed, reporting a solid accuracy for the simulation of non-invasive sensors, which measure blood glucose from the fingertip. An average relative difference between calculations and measurements below 5% was obtained, suggesting consistency with the behavior of a sensor once constructed, especially when compared with other fingertip models found in the recent literature. The presented results are encouraging for the usefulness of the proposed model to aid the design of microwave resonator sensors, where reliable design requires an accurate modeling of the interacting medium and sample under test.
