Saberes y r-existencias: herramientas para pensar las luchas territoriales en el Sur Global. A la memoria de Carlos Walter Porto-Gonçalves

Abstract

El siguiente artículo presenta una discusión y un estado de la cuestión a fines de construir herramientas para abordar las luchas territoriales que se sitúan en el sur global. En este sentido, aborda corrientes y autores que buscan cuestionar las hegemonías del sistema-mundo moderno occidental, reconociendo la relación entre saber y territorio poniendo en diálogo autores del campo de la Geografía crítica y las perspectivas decolonial y poscolonial. Para ello, primero, partimos del análisis de la constitución de este discurso único de verdad universal, para comprender la configuración geopolítica de este mundo moderno-colonial, con las categorías de espacio/tiempo que abren a múltiples temporalidades que conforman los territorios y posibilitan la construcción de nuevas ontologías desde las luchas emancipatorias. Segundo, desde los aportes de la Geografía crítica reflexionamos sobre la relevancia de considerar la dimensión espacial para comprender la configuración geopolítica del mundo moderno-colonial, y particularmente, para dar luz sobre las realidades latinoamericanas. Tercero, el recorrido previo nos lleva a centrar la mirada en la materialidad de las experiencias y saberes de las comunidades por tanto tiempo soslayadas. Finalmente, cerramos con las reflexiones a las que nos permitió arribar el recorrido propuesto.

The following article presents a discussion and a state of the question in order to build tools to address the territorial struggles that are located in the global south. In this sense, it addresses currents and authors who seek to question the hegemonies of the modern western world-system, recognizing the relationship between knowledge and territory by putting in dialogue authors from the field of Critical Geography and the decolonial and postcolonial perspectives. For this, first, we start from the analysis of the constitution of this unique discourse of universal truth, to understand the geopolitical configuration of this modern-colonial world, with the categories of space/time that open to multiple temporalities that shape the territories and enable the construction of new ontologies from the emancipatory struggles. Second, from the contributions of different authors of Geography we reflect on the relevance of considering the spatial dimension to understand the geopolitical configuration of the modern-colonial world, and particularly, to shed light on Latin American realities. Thirdly, the previous journey leads us to focus our gaze on the materiality of the experiences and knowledge of communities that have been overlooked for so long. Finally, we close with the reflections that the proposed path has allowed us to arrive at.
