Cuestión de formas: Notas a la relación documental cubana entre archivo y disidencias

Abstract

El artículo explora la relación entre “archivo” y “disidencia” en dos cortometrajes cubanos: P.M (1961)de Orlando Jiménez Leal y Alberto «Sabá» Cabrera Infante y Gente en la playa (1960) Néstor Almendros. Ambos interrogan la forma en que se estetiza lo documentable y disputan el régimen representativo de la Revolución. Por otro lado, se explora cómo estos cortos refuerzan la tesis de la desestabilización de los archivos ante las narrativas oficiales.

The article explores the relationship between “archive” and “dissidence” in two Cuban short films: P.M (1961) by Orlando Jiménez Leal and Alberto “Sabá” Cabrera Infante and Gente en la playa (1960) by Néstor Almendros. Both question the way in which the documentable is aestheticized and dispute the representative regime of the Revolution. On the other hand, we explore how these shorts reinforce the thesis of the destabilization of the archives in the face of official narratives.
