Abstract

El artículo analiza el libro U.H.P. Mineros de Asturias (1936) de María Luisa Carnelli, valorizando su papel como cronista y militante a partir de la insurrección de Octubre de 1934 en Asturias. En esta obra olvidada y pionera, que se distingue por haber sido escrita por una mujer extranjera, Carnelli no solo documenta los acontecimientos insurreccionales e interviene denunciando la represión posterior, sino que también refleja su evolución personal de escritora a activista cultural comunista. El análisis resalta la importancia de la obra en el contexto de la literatura argentina y su contribución a la historia de la resistencia antifascista, destacando especialmente la participación de las mujeres.

The article analyzes the book U.H.P. Miners of Asturias (1936) by María Luisa Carnelli, valuing her role as a chronicler and militant from the insurrection of October 1934 in Asturias. In this forgotten and pioneering work, which is distinguished for having been written by a foreign woman, Carnelli not only documents the insurrectional events and denounces the subsequent repression, but also reflects her personal evolution from writer to communist activist. The analysis highlights the importance of the work in the context of Argentine literature and its contribution to the history of the anti-fascist resistance, especially emphasizing the participation of women.
