La prensa rionegrina como prensa de adaptación: La narrativa sobre las visitas de funcionarios nacionales a Viedma, Río Negro, 1976-1979

Abstract

Durante los primeros años de la última dictadura cívico-militar, el presidente de facto, Jorge Rafael Videla visitó en dos oportunidades (1976 y 1979) la capital de Río Negro, dada la peculiaridad de estos viajes analizamos cómo fueron narrados por la prensa provincial, incluyendo en el estudio las visitas de funcionarios nacionales. A partir del análisis del discurso social indagamos el diario Río Negro y los periódicos viedmenses: El Federal y La Calle, interpretamos que las visitas fueron herramientas para la construcción de hegemonía generando dos tipos de narrativas: herméticas y permeables, que permiten advertir características de la prensa analizada que denominamos como prensa de adaptación.

During the first years of the last civil-military dictatorship the de facto president, Jorge Rafael Videla, visited the capital of Río Negro on two occasions (1976 and 1979). Given the peculiarity of the trips, we analyze how they were narrated by the provincial press, including in the study the visits of national officials. Based on the analysis of social discourse we investigated the newspapers Río Negro and the Viedmense newspapers: El Federal and La Calle, we interpreted that the visits were tools for the construction of hegemony, generating two types of narratives: hermetic and permeable, which allow us to notice characteristics of the analyzed press that we call the adaptation press.
