La Constancia: Relatos de vida y memorias del despoblamiento rural bonaerense (segunda mitad del siglo xx)

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda la problemática del despoblamiento rural del interior de la provincia de Buenos Aires durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX a partir del análisis de testimonios de antiguos y actuales habitantes del ex centro agrícola La Constancia ubicado en el partido de Ayacucho, en el sudeste bonaerense. Mediante la herramienta metodológica de la historia oral se busca recuperar memorias, vivencias y dimensionar cómo los cambios estructurales, incidieron en las trayectorias de vida de estas personas y en el entramado social de la comunidad. Se busca responder cómo era la vida social, cultural y productiva en esos tiempos, cómo vivieron los habitantes el proceso de despoblamiento del lugar, qué recuerdos conservan, finalmente, cuál puede ser el aporte de la perspectiva centrada en las historias de vida al estudio de las transformaciones del agro pampeano.

This work addresses the problem of rural depopulation inside of the province of Buenos Aires during the second half of the 20th century based on the analysis of testimonies from ancient and current inhabitants of the former agricultural center of La Constancia located in the district of Ayacucho, in the southeastern of Buenos Aires. Through the methodological tool of oral history, we seek to recover memories, experiences and dimension how the structural changes that affected the Buenos Aires agriculture in the last decades of the 20th century, affected the life trajectories of these people and the social fabric of the community. We ask ourselves what social, cultural and productive life was like in those times, how the inhabitants experienced the process of depopulation of the place, what memories they preserve, finally, what can be the contribution of the perspective focused on life stories, to the study of the transformations of pampa agriculture in the second half of the 20th century.
