Ciencia, infancias y ontologías más que humanas: Niñxs que investigan desde un territorio popular en el interior de Córdoba

Abstract

Desde el año 2021, adultxs provenientes de las ciencias sociales investigamos con niñxs de clases populares en un barrio periférico del interior de Córdoba (Argentina). En este trabajo recupero emergentes de este proyecto de la Universidad Nacional de Villa María, en diálogo con posiciones epistemológicas, teóricas y políticas presentes en la obra de Donna Haraway. Nuestra praxis se inspira en sus figuras de lxs niñxs del compost y de las especies de compañía (Haraway, 2020). En esta oportunidad, analizo las articulaciones materiales-semióticas y los efectos que causa hacer ciencia con otrxs, leyendo a Haraway desde una perspectiva de género, protagónica y multiespecie. Examino qué y cómo conocemos junto con lxs niñxs, en relación a la historia del barrio, las plantas y los animales. En términos metodológicos, me centro en procesos interpretativos y etnográficos y retomo fuentes originales del equipo como fotografías, dibujos y otras producciones infantiles. En el artículo señalo algunas “cosas” que suceden con la propuesta de Haraway cuando es leída en tiempos y lugares reales. Busco reimaginar las intersecciones entre ciencia, sociedad y naturaleza siguiendo las experiencias de lxs niñxs que renuevan las formas conocidas de investigar y traen nuevas preguntas sobre ontologías más que humanas.

Since 2021, adults from the social sciences have been doing research with children from the lower classes in a peripheral neighborhood in the interior of Córdoba (Argentina). In this work I recover emergents of this project of the National University of Villa María, in dialogue with epistemological, theoretical and political positions present in the work of Donna Haraway. Our praxis is inspired by his figures of the compost children and companion species (Haraway, 2020). On this occasion, I analyze the material-semiotic articulations and the effects of doing science with others, reading Haraway from a gender, protagonist and multispecies perspective. I examine what and how we know together with the children in relation to the history of the neighborhood, the plants and the animals. In methodological terms, I focus on interpretive and ethnographic processes and return to original sources from the team such as photographs, drawings and other children’s productions. In the article I point out some “things” that happen with Haraway’s proposal when it is read in real times and places. I seek to reimagine the intersections between science, society and nature by following the experiences of children who renew the known forms of research and bring new questions about more than human ontologies.
