Cría terminal de Germán Maggiori: La tragedia en tercer grado

Abstract

Frankenstein de Mary Shelley no es un antecedente novelesco tomado al azar. La búsqueda de un clásico moderno ofrece un respaldo mítico al relato de ciencia ficción actual, una forma de plegarse a la tradición, al mismo tiempo que exige, por parte del lector, el reconocimiento de una herencia. Los efectos de la re-reescritura del mito prometeico, transdiegetizado al futuro de espanto argentino, serán abordados en el siguiente estudio acerca de la hipertextualidad trágica correspondiente a la novela Cría terminal de Germán Maggiori. El carácter no cuestionador de la fábula original dado por el tratamiento patético de la tarea científica, y sus razones textuales, serán blanco de reflexión.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is not a random fictional antecedent. The search for a modern classic offers mythical support to the new science-fiction narration, a way to adhere to a tradition and, at the same time, requires from the reader the recognition of an inheritance. The effects of the re-rewriting of the Promethean myth, transdiegetized to the future of Argentine fright, will be discussed in the following study about tragic hypertextuality corresponding to the novel Cría terminal. The non-questioning character of the original fable given by the pathetic treatment of the scientific task, and its textual reasons, will be the target of reflection.
