Teorías Lingüísticas y Discursivas sobre el Humor, lo Cómico y la Risa

Abstract

Las distintas corrientes lingüísticas y discursivas que, a lo largo del siglo XX, intentaron, en palabras de Paolo Fabri, decir algo sensato sobre el sen-tido tropezaron, tarde o temprano, con la necesidad de decir, además, algo sensato sobre el sentido del humor. Y eso no es extraño, dado que el uso irrisorio del lenguaje parece erigirse como contra-ejemplo por excelencia de cuanta norma, regla o paradigma lingüístico se pretenda ofrecer como incontrovertible. En este trabajo nos ocuparemos de delimitar algunas teo-rías específicamente lingüísticas y discursivas sobre el humor, lo cómico y la risa para demostrar cómo no se alcanza a tener una cabal comprensión del fenómeno sin apelar a un punto de vista discursivo, es decir, un punto de vista que considere el desfase inherente a toda producción significante como un elemento constitutivo de nuestra forma de darle sentido al todo inabarcable que nos rodea. Y este punto de vista no puede sino llevar a la conclusión de que lo irrisorio es, ante todo, un particular posicionamiento del sujeto de enunciación que ya sea en producción o en reconocimiento, se erige como garante de un desvío intencional de todo aquello que se tiene por serio en un determinado contexto social.

The alternative linguistics and discursive trends that made, during the XX Century, an attempt to say, in Paolo Fabbri’s words, something sensible about sense, clashed, sooner or later, with the necessity to say also something sensible about sense of humor. And that’s not weird, since the ridiculous use of language rises as an excellent counter-example of every norm, rule or linguistic paradigm that are intended to be shown as incontrovertible. In this work we will examine some specifically linguistic and discursive theories of humor, comic and the laugh in order to demonstrate that it is impossible to reach a thorough understanding of the phenomenon without appealing to a discursive point of view, that is, a perspective that considers the mismatch inherent to all significant production as a constitutive element of our way of giving meaning to the unfathomable whole that surrounds us. And that point of view brings us to the conclusion that the laughable is, above all, a particular positioning of the subject of enunciation that, whether in production or recognition, arises as the guarantor of the intentional deviation of all that we consider serious in a given social context.
