Lo Unheimliche en el giro ontológico de la antropología

Abstract

Lo que se propone en este trabajo es repensar lo ominoso, siniestro o inhóspito tal como es tematizado por Freud en su artículo de 1919 “Das Unheimliche” a la luz de tres autores representativos del llamado “giro ontológico” de la antropología: Bruno Latour, Eduardo Viveiros de Castro y Eduardo Kohn. Nuestra hipótesis es que estos autores abordan el afecto tematizado por Freud, pero que algunas de sus características fundamentales han cambiado. La argumentación se fundará en el comentario de pasajes y la comparación con el texto freudiano. A través de estos cotejamientos, se identificará una mutación en las modalidades de lo Unheimliche en el transcurso del siglo que nos separa del texto original: de ser en Freud una experiencia subjetiva basada en la subsistencia de una instancia inconsciente relativa a la psicogénesis, más particularmente, al miedo a la castración propio de la historia de la formación del aparato psíquico, en el giro ontológico la experiencia de lo Unheimliche se ubica en la relación entre lo humano y lo nohumano en un sentido que no se deja reducir a la metaforización de una instancia psíquica individual humana.

This paper aims to rethink the ominous, sinister, or inhospitable such as it is thematized by Freud in his 1919 article "Das Unheimliche" in the light of three representative authors of the so-called "ontological turn" in anthropology: Bruno Latour, Eduardo Viveiros de Castro and Eduardo Kohn. Our hypothesis is that these authors address the affect thematized by Freud, but that some of its fundamental characteristics have changed. The argumentation will be based on the commentary of passages and the comparison with the Freudian text. Through these comparisons, a mutation in the modalities of the Unheimliche will be identified in the course of the century that separates us from the original text: from being in Freud a subjective experience based on the subsistence of an unconscious instance related to psychogenesis, more particularly, to the fear of castration proper to the history of the formation of the psychic apparatus, in the ontological turn, the experience of the Unheimliche is situated in the relationship between the human and the non-human, in a way irreducible to the metaphorization of an individual human psychic instance.
