En presente: Lucio V. Mansilla desde Europa. Vidas políticas y literarias

Abstract

En el marco de una investigación colectiva que busca reunir materiales dispersos producidos por Lucio V. Mansilla para habilitar nuevas lecturas de su obra, el presente trabajo aborda las columnas publicadas bajo el título "Ecos de Europa" en La Tribuna Nacional entre marzo de 1881 y octubre de 1883. En esta ocasión, se analizan dos formas de ralentización del flujo acelerado y atento a la reproducción de "noticias de última hora" que marca las entregas; formas que se relacionan entre sí porque ponen en juego un particular impulso biográfico: la construcción de las figuras de Léon Gambetta y de Émile Zola y la manera en que, a partir de las mismas, se observan ciertos movimiento de la vocación histórica de la escritura de Mansilla y un armado singular del campo literario francés.

Within the framework of a collective investigation that seeks to gather scattered materials produced by Lucio V. Mansilla to enable new readings of his work, this paper addresses the columns published under the title "Ecos de Europa" in La Tribuna Nacional between March 1881 and October 1883. On this occasion, we will analyze two ways of slow down the rhythm impose by the reproduction of "breaking news" that marks the articles; forms that are related to each other because they put into play a particular biographical impulse: the construction of the figures of Léon Gambetta and Emile Zola and the way in which, from them, we can observe certain movements of Mansilla’s historical vocation and a singular assembly of the French literary field.
