El futuro llegó hace rato: La libertad de enseñanza de Alfonsín a Milei

Abstract

En el presente artículo nos proponemos aportar algunas reflexiones empírico-teóricas que nos permitan tejer relaciones entre la educación durante el gobierno de Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1989) y nuestro presente, en el cumpleaños cuarenta de la democracia. Entendemos que hacer historia de la educación puede aportar a comprender el proyecto de privatización que propone Milei hoy. El foco del artículo está ubicado en las disputas educación pública/educación privada e Iglesia/Estado en momentos de génesis de estos cuarenta años de democracia, particularmente en el Congreso Pedagógico Nacional celebrado durante la presidencia de Alfonsín. Sostenemos que el Congreso constituye un hito histórico respecto de la libertad de enseñanza y arriesgamos a plantear que el ciclo iniciado con el Congreso respecto de la confrontación público-privado, Iglesia-Estado, aún continúa abierto y en disputa.

In this article we propose to provide some empiricaltheoretical reflections that allow us to weave relationships between education during the government of Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1989) and our present, on the fortieth anniversary of democracy. We understand that the history of the Alfonsinist period can contribute to understand the project of privatization of education proposed by Javier Milei. The focus of the article is on the disputes between public education/private education and Church/State in moments of genesis of these forty years of democracy, particularly in the National Pedagogical Congress held during Alfonsín’s presidency. We argue that the Congress constitutes a historical milestone respect to the freedom of education and we risk suggesting that the cycle initiated in 1985 with the Congress regarding the public-private, Church-State confrontation is still open and in dispute.
