Agroecología periurbana en la Argentina del siglo XXI: de los márgenes a la estatalidad

Abstract

La agroecología surge en el seno de los movimientos sociales como una forma de producción frutihortícola, pero también como una denuncia del modelo hegemónico. Este ensayo propone realizar un breve recorrido por las diferentes formas de exclusión que ha sufrido la agroecología y por su incipiente reconocimiento estatal como una alternativa viable para la producción de alimentos, a través de una revisión bibliográfica y documental. Luego, se analizarán las propuestas que vienen desarrollando algunos movimientos sociales en pos de institucionalizar sus reclamos para tener mayor reconocimiento por parte del Estado. Las conclusiones de este análisis se centran en la reflexión acerca de las tensiones e hibridaciones de las miradas sobre el concepto de agroecología y el posible devenir de su estatalización: la dicotomía escalamiento/cooptación.

Agroecology emerges within social movements as a form of fruit and vegetable production, but also as a denunciation of the hegemonic model. This essay proposes a brief tour of the different forms of exclusion that agroecology has suffered and the incipient state recognition of it as a viable alternative for food production, through a bibliographical and documentary review. Then, the proposals that some social movements have been developing in pursuit of institutionalizing their claims to have greater recognition by the State will be analyzed. The conclusions of this analysis focus on the reflection on the tensions and hybridizations of the views on the concept of agroecology and the possible future of its nationalization: the scaling/cooptation dichotomy.
