El caso Hagelin en la justicia naval (1980-1981): Una estrategia de encubrimiento de la Armada Argentina ante las presiones internacionales

Abstract

En 1980, en plena dictadura, la Armada Argentina conformó un juzgado de instrucción militar para tratar la denuncia por el secuestro y desaparición de Dagmar Hagelin, caso por el que el gobierno de Suecia, entre otros actores, presionaba al gobierno de facto en la escena internacional. Esta instrucción finalizó prematuramente con el sobreseimiento de tres oficiales acusados, dado que la justicia militar entendió que durante la investigación no se había probado la participación de ninguno en los hechos denunciados. Años más tarde, en la inmediata posdictadura, el antecedente fue utilizado por la defensa del teniente Alfredo Astiz cuando fue citado y procesado por el mismo caso en la justicia federal. A partir de estos datos, el artículo tiene como objetivo investigar la trayectoria de esta denuncia en sede judicial militar y procura pensar los usos del expediente por parte de la Marina para encubrir y garantizar la impunidad de los oficiales que protagonizaron la represión.

In 1980, in the midst of the dictatorship, the Argentine Navy established a military investigative court to handle the complaint regarding the kidnapping and disappearance of Dagmar Hagelin, a case for which the Swedish government, among other actors, pressured the de facto government on the international stage. This investigation ended prematurely with the dismissal of three accused officers, given that the military justice system understood that during the investigation their participation in the alleged acts had not been proven. Years later, in the immediate post-dictatorship period, the precedent was used by the defense of lieutenant Alfredo Astiz when he was summoned and tried for the same case in the federal courts. On the basis of this information, the aim of this article is to investigate the trajectory of this complaint in the military courts and to consider how the file was used by the Navy to cover up and guarantee the impunity of the officers who played a leading role in the repression.
