Recibir una tradición: pragmatismo dionisiano y performatividad en el lenguaje de la saturación de Jean-Luc Marion

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en abordar la recepción del pensamiento de Dionisio Areopagita practicada por Jean-Luc Marion, concentrándonos , en primer lugar, en su peculiar interpretación de la teología dionisiana como un lenguaje pragmático y performativo, tal como aparece en su escrito Le visible et le révélé (2005). Allí mostraremos cómo su apropiación del pragmatismo encuentra dos vertientes: por un lado, lo que podríamos llamar el pragmatismo dionisiano, y por el otro lado, su discusión con la teoría de los Speechs Acts de Austin y Searle. De todo esto se deriva la concepción del fenómeno erótico y la expresión “yo te amo” como un acto perlocutorio. En segundo lugar, y a la luz de la última formulación por parte de Marion de la fenomenología de la donación como un doubler la métaphyisque en su libro La métaphysique et après (2023), sostendremos que su recepción del neoplatonismo cristiano de Dionisio Areopagita como un lenguaje pragmático y performativo puede leerse como un caso paradigmático de esta nueva posición frente a la metafísica.

The main goal of the present work is to address the reception of Dionysius Areopagite´s Thought practiced by Jean-Luc Marion, concentrating, first of all, on his peculiar interpretation of Dionysian theology as a pragmatic and performative language, as it appears in his writing Le visible et le révélé. There we will show how his appropriation of pragmatism finds two aspects: on the one hand, what we could call Dionysian pragmatism, and on the other hand, the discussion of it with the theory of Speech Acts by Austin and Searle. From all this is derived the conception of the erotic phenomenon and the expression “I love you” as a perlocutory act. Secondly, and in light of Marion's latest formulation of the phenomenology of donation as a doubler la métaphysique in his book La métaphysique et après, we will argue that his reception of the Christian Neoplatonism of Dionysius the Areopagite as a language pragmatic and performative can be read as a paradigmatic case of this new position towards metaphysics.
