¿Anticipó Leibniz el concepto de modelo?: La ciencia general y su método

Abstract

In this paper we propose to analyze the role that fulfills the concept of "application" in the Leibnizian organization of Science, understanding it as an anticipation of the contemporary concept of "model of an abstract theory". In this way, we address the leibnizian conception of the general or combinatorial characteristics in order to show that it provides forms of theories that are "applied" or "interpreted" according to the concepts of the subordinate sciences, thus resulting in a hierarchical organization of the Scientific disciplines.
