Narrativas y discursos en el Museo de Historia de San Luis (Argentina): reflexiones y análisis en torno al patrimonio cultural y las políticas institucionales

Abstract

En este artículo se analizan las narrativas del Museo de Historia de San Luis (Argentina) con el objetivo de reflexionar sobre la función del museo como espacio de producción de conocimiento, difusión y educación. A través del recorrido por las distintas salas se identificaron los temas abordados y los textos utilizados, así como la forma en que todo ello construye un particular relato. El estudio se inscribe en una perspectiva teórica que busca comprender la producción discursiva del museo en vínculo con las políticas de gestión institucional y los actores involucrados. A nivel metodológico se sustenta en un análisis cualitativo que incluyó la observación participante y el registro fotográfico y documental, a través del cual se pudo acceder al conjunto de bienes, hechos y personalidades valoradas y legitimadas en la narrativa -ideológica e institucional- del museo como parte de su patrimonio identitario regional.

This article analyzes the narratives of the History Museum of San Luis (Argentina) with the aim of reflecting on the function of the museum as a space for the production of knowledge, dissemination and education. Through the tour of the different rooms, the topics addressed and the texts used were identified, as well as the way in which all of this builds a particular story. The study is part of a theoretical perspective that seeks to understand the discursive production of the museum in connection with institutional management policies and the actors involved. At the methodological level, it is based on a qualitative analysis that included participant observation and photographic and documentary records, through which it was possible to access the set of assets, facts and personalities valued and legitimized in the narrative -ideological and institutional- of the museum as a part of the regional identity heritag.
