Estado, gobiernos y celebraciones: Una mirada desde el abordaje de las fiestas de la producción económica local/regional de la provincia de Buenos Aires (segunda mitad del siglo XX)

Abstract

En este trabajo abordamos el vínculo entre el Estado, los gobiernos y las fiestas. Nos centraremos en el rol desempeñado por el Estado en el origen y posterior evolución de dos fiestas que celebran la producción económica local y regional al sur/sureste de la provincia de Buenos Aires: la Fiesta Nacional del Ternero y Día de la Yerra (Ayacucho, 1969) y la Fiesta Provincial del Trigo (Tres Arroyos, 1970). La injerencia estatal en la configuración de dichas celebraciones regionales contribuyó a otorgar sentidos y significaciones a los elementos celebrados, los cuales se erigieron como baluartes de las identidades locales. Exploramos tres aspectos de este vínculo: el rol del Estado en el origen, organización y financiamiento, la presencia de los funcionarios en la celebración y sus representaciones sobre el evento y aquello que se celebraba. Hemos recurrido para nuestro abordaje a diversas fuentes: discursos, prensa periódica, fotografías y legislación oficial (decretos, ordenanzas).

In this work we address the link between the State, governments and parties. We will focus on the role played by the State in the origin and subsequent evolution of two festivals that celebrate local and regional economic production in the south/southeast of the province of Buenos Aires: the National Calf Festival and Día de la Yerra (Ayacucho, 1969) and the Provincial Wheat Festival (Tres Arroyos, 1970). State interference in the configuration of these regional celebrations contributed to giving meanings and significance to the celebrated elements, which were erected as bastions of local identities. We explore three aspects of this link: the role of the State in the origin, organization and financing, the presence of officials at the celebration and their representations about the event and what was being celebrated. We have used various sources for our approach: speeches, periodical press, photographs and official legislation (decrees, ordinances).
