La guerra de Malvinas desde el activismo teatral: La soberanía, la deserción y el rol de los intelectuales en Lógica del naufragio de Mariano Saba (2012)

Abstract

En 2012, en el trigésimo aniversario de la guerra de Malvinas, se realizaron múltiples conmemoraciones que acrecentaron la presencia de “Malvinas” en la sociedad argentina. Ese año el Instituto Nacional del Teatro (INT) dedicó su concurso anual de obras de teatro a los “30 años de Malvinas”. La política cultural, impulsada por la entonces Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación, incentivó la escritura de textos dramáticos sobre la guerra. Este artículo revisita las obras que fueron premiadas por 14° Concurso Nacional de Obras de Teatro y analiza Lógica del naufragio de Mariano Saba, la obra que recibió el primer premio.El trabajo enmarca la obra de Saba dentro del activismo teatral, concepto que alude a un tipo de activismo no partidario sino comprometido política y afectivamente con los valores promovidos por los movimientos de derechos humanos en las últimas décadas. Desde esta mirada, el artículo se propone indagar en el gesto estético-político de la obra. Para dar cuenta de ello, revisita algunas de las problemáticas que atraviesan la pieza dramática tales como el problema de la soberanía; la deserción como un tópico que atraviesa las ficciones sobre Malvinas; y el rol de los intelectuales.

In 2012, on the thirtieth anniversary of Malvinas war, several commemorative events were held, increasing the presence of “Malvinas” in Argentine society. That year, the National Theatre Institute (INT) dedicated its annual theatre contest to “30 years of Malvinas”. The cultural policy promoted by the National Secretary of Culture encouraged the writing of dramatic texts about the war. This article reviews the plays that won prizes in the 14th National Theatre Contest and analyses Lógica del naufragio, written by Mariano Saba, the play that won the first prize. The article places Saba’s work in the context of theatrical activism, a concept that alludes to a type of activism that is not partisan, but politically and affectively engaged with the values promoted by human rights movements in the latest decades. From this point of view, the article proposes to examine the aesthetic-political gesture of the play. For this purpose, it revisits some of the issues that run through the piece, such as the problem of sovereignty, desertion as a theme that runs through the fictions about Malvinas, and the role of intellectuals.
