Desesperado: El Gasto Público Social en Argentina, 1980-2008

Abstract

El gasto estatal suele presentarse como una de las variables que nos permite entender la evolución y las características que adquiere el Estado, así como también puede darnos elementos para pensar las diferentes estrategias de gobernabilidad de las autoridades estatales. Conocer la distribución del presupuesto nacional, se vuelve entonces, una tarea fundamental. En este trabajo me propongo analizar la evolución de la partida presupuestaria destinada al Gasto Público Social en el período 1980-2008. El objetivo, a partir del resultado del análisis cuantitativo, es realizar algunas consideraciones sobre las tendencias que expresa la evolución del gasto estatal en argentina, desde la recuperación democrática hasta la actualidad.

State spending is often presented as one of the variables that allows us to understand the evolution and characteristics that the State and may also give us reason to think the different strategies of social hegemony. Knowing the distribution of the national budget, then becomes an essential task. In this paper I will analyze the evolution of the budgetary allocation to the Social Public Expenditure in the period 1980-2008. The goal, from the result of quantitative analysis, is to make some considerations about the trends that expresses the evolution of government spending in Argentina, from the restoration of bourgeoise democracy to the present.
