Prácticas travestis: Teorías y debates sobre corporalidades disruptivas

Abstract

Los principales objetivos propuestos en este trabajo han sido: realizar un breve recorrido teórico, en términos de campo, sobre los discursos de las prácticas travestis desde la biomedicina y las ciencias sociales. Asimismo, situar dichos discursos en el contexto argentino para comprender y problematizar las trayectorias del colectivo travesti en ese país. Con tales fines, en primer lugar, se expone un mapa teórico de las principales argumentaciones que caracterizan la sexualidad como un dispositivo; en segundo lugar, se articula la noción de dispositivo de la sexualidad con las diversas corrientes del pensamiento feminista para repensar los géneros; en tercer lugar, se plantean las hipótesis históricas que han explicado las identidades travestis. Y por último, en quinto lugar, se expone brevemente las trayectorias del colectivo travesti en Argentina hasta hoy día.

The main objectives proposed in this work have been: to carry out a brief theoretical overview, in terms of the field, of the discourses of transvestite practices from biomedicine and the social sciences. Likewise, situate these discourses in the Argentine context to understand and problematize the trajectories of the transvestite collective in that country. For these purposes, first of all, a theoretical map of the main arguments that characterize sexuality as a device is presented; Secondly, the notion of the device of sexuality is articulated with the various currents of feminist thought to rethink genders; Thirdly, the historical hypotheses that have explained transvestite identities are presented. And finally, in fifth place, the trajectories of the transvestite collective in Argentina until today are briefly explained.
