“Identificación”, “Autocomprensión” y Trabajo: Porto Alegre, 1942-1945

Abstract

En el presente escrito, nos proponemos reflexionar sobre el proceso de "identificación" y "autocomprensión" generado en torno a los trabajadores porto-alegrenses durante los tres últimos años del Estado Novo (1942-1945). A tal fin se llevaran adelante cuatro tareas interrelacionadas. En un primer momento indagaremos sobre la "identificación" que, desde el gobierno del Estado Novo, se hacía sobre los trabajadores porto-alegrenses a lo largo de la coyuntura 1942-1945, caracterizada por el ingreso del Brasil a la segunda Guerra Mundial y el fin del Estado Novo. En un segundo momento, proponemos analizar el modo en que esos mismos trabajadores desplegaban su "autocomprensión". En tercer lugar, sí esto último implicaba colocar en tensión la "identificación" que se hacía desde los "otros", procuraremos indagar sobre el modo en que lo hacían y sobre los medios a los cuales recurrían. Para finalizar, nos proponemos analizar cómo el uso, por parte de los sectores gobernantes, de la expresión nación resulto un instrumento de gran utilidad para intentar descomponer la "autocomprensión" y agencia de los trabajadores porto-alegrenses entre 1942-1945.

In this work, we propose to reflect on the process of “identification” and “self-understanding” generated concerning the workers of Porto Alegre during the last yeast of the Estado Novo (1942-1945). To this end four interrelated tasks will be carried out. First, we will research the Porto Alegre workers throughout the context of 1942-1945, marked by the fact that Brazil joined the Second World War and the end of the Estado Novo. Second, we propose to analyze the way in which these workers “self-understand”. Third, if this last point implies a tension with the “identification” by “others”, we will research how it was done and the means by which it was done. Finally, we propose to analyze how the use, by certain governing sectors, of word nation became an instrument of great utility to try to unravel the “self-understanding” and agency of the workers of Porto Alegre between 1942 and 1945.
