El abandono de la crítica

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es presentar y discutir los alcances de la crítica en el pensamiento contemporáneo. Para ello, en primer lugar, se realiza una sistematización de la retórica de la crítica desde los aportes de Rita Felski. En segundo lugar, se muestra cómo la crítica ha sido redefinida desde el paso de una escena textual a una postextual de la teoría según Claire Colebrook. Desde estas dos caracterizaciones generales, en tercer lugar, a partir de la obra de Quentin Meillassoux se analiza la estructura correlacional de la crítica para mostrar la posibilidad de redefinirla desde el concepto de absoluto. Por último, a partir de la obra de Bruno Latour se analiza el fetichismo de la crítica y su propuesta de ir hacia un composicionismo. En resumidas cuentas, analizando cierta escena de la teoría contemporánea se busca sistematizar los rasgos de la crítica y cómo se da lugar a su abandono.

The objective of this paper is to present and discuss the scope of critique in contemporary thought. To achieve this goal, f irstly, a systematization of the rhetoric of critique is conducted based on Rita Felski’s contributions. Secondly, the paper illustrates how critique has undergone a redefinition through the transition from a textual to a post-textual theoretical landscape, as proposed by Claire Colebrook. Drawing from these two overarching characterizations, the correlational structure of critique will be analyzed, utilizing Quentin Meillassoux’s work, to demonstrate the potential for its redefinition, moving away from the concept of the absolute. Lastly, building upon the insights of Bruno Latour, the article will scrutinize the fetishism of critique and Latour’s proposal to shift towards compositionism. In summary, through the analysis of a specific segment of contemporary theory, the objective is to systematize the characteristics of critique and explore the trajectory of its abandonment.
