El ascenso de la derecha electoral argentina en el siglo XXI

Abstract

Durante todo el siglo xx, la derecha electoral fue débil en Argentina, pero en el siglo xxi, esa historia iba a modificarse. Este artículo analiza el lento crecimiento de la derecha electoral desde la crisis de 2001 hasta la actualidad, mostrando su paso de los márgenes al centro del poder y de la moderación a la radicalidad. Se analizan los contextos históricos que propiciaron ese desarrollo, las posiciones programáticas y la construcción partidaria de las distintas fuerzas, y se examina la relación entre la derecha convencional y la ultraderecha en nuestros días. Así, el artículo brinda pistas para entender el derrotero de la derecha en este siglo y el caso argentino en el mapa global de las derechas radicales.

Throughout the twentieth century the electoral right was weak in Argentina, but in the twenty‑first century that history was to change. This article analyzes the slow growth of the electoral right from the 2001 crisis to the present, showing its passage from the margins to the center of power and from moderation to radicalism. It analyzes the historical contexts that propitiated this development, the programmatic stances and the party building of the different forces. It also examines the relationship between the conventional right and the far‑right in our days. Thus, the article provides insights to understand the paths of the right in this century and the Argentine case in the global map of the radical right‑wing parties.

Durante todo o século xx, a direita eleitoral foi fraca na Argentina, mas no século xxi essa história iria mudar. Este artigo analisa o lento crescimento da direita eleitoral desde a crise de 2001 até à atualidade, mostrando a sua passagem das margens para o centro do poder e da moderação para o radicalismo. Analisa os contextos históricos que levaram a este desenvolvimento, as posições programáticas e a construção partidária das diferentes forças. Examina também a relação entre a direita convencional e a ultradireita atual. Assim, o artigo fornece pistas para compreender o percurso da direita neste século e o caso argentino no mapa global da direita radical.
