Deporte y prensa socialista: una comparación en el abordaje de dos corrientes trotskistas argentinas (1995-2020)

Abstract

Recuperando los relevamientos y conclusiones de trabajos previos, elobjetivo de este artículo es realizar una comparación en el abordaje que dos corrientesde la izquierda trotskista argentina hacen del deporte, entre 1995 y 2020. Esto serealizará mediante la lectura de sus periódicos oficiales: por un lado, Prensa Obrera(1995-2019) y Política Obrera (2019-2020); y por otro Rebelión de los Trabajadores(1995-1996), La Verdad Obrera (1996-2015) y La Izquierda Diario (2015-2020). Eltrabajo comparativo se ordenará en tres ejes: el papel del mercado, los barras bravas y elgénero, tópicos de gran importancia para los estudios sociales del deporte y la Argentinacontemporánea. Se concluye la existencia de importantes similitudes entre ambascorrientes, pero también de diferencias en torno a la presencia de colaboradoresexternos y los debates con ellos, la estructuración de las respectivas publicaciones,además de diferencias políticas entre ambas fuerzas.

Recovering the surveys and conclusions of previous works, the objective of this paper is to make a comparison in the approach that two currents of the Argentine Trotskyist left make of sport, between 1995 and 2020. This will be done by reading their official newspapers: on the one hand, Prensa Obrera (1995-2019) and Política Obrera (2019-2020), and on the other, Rebelión de los Trabajadores (1995-1996), La Verdad Obrera (1996-2015) and La Izquierda Diario (2015-2020). The comparative work will be arranged in three axes: the role of the market, the barras bravas and gender, topics of great importance for the social studies of sport and contemporary Argentina. It is concluded that there are important similarities between both currents, but also differences regarding the presence of external collaborators and the debates with them, the structuring of the respective publications, as well as political differences between both forces.
