Represión y "guerra": el terrorismo de Estado argentino en escala comparada en el Cono Sur

Abstract

El presente artículo estudia en la escala regional del Cono Sur el vínculo entre represión y “guerra” a partir de la forma en que se planificó y ejecutó el terrorismo de Estado en la Argentina. Las numerosas investigaciones que serán nuestro insumo principal muestran que los gobiernos militares y/o constitucionales de Argentina, pero también de Chile, Brasil y Uruguay, llevaron adelante sus acciones represivas bajo un paradigma bélico. El texto se divide en dos secciones: en la primera parte, se presentan los elementos centrales del ciclo histórico de represión y violencia política en el que se inserta el caso argentino, a la luz de los otras experiencias locales. En la segunda parte, se explora la forma en que la “guerra” se constituyó en el marco conceptual a partir del cual en la Argentina, y en los otros países estudiados, se implementó el terrorismo de Estado.

This article studies on the regional scale of the Southern Cone the link between repression and “war” based on the way in which State terrorism was planned and executed in Argentina. The numerous studies that will be our main input show that the military and/or constitutional governments of Argentina, but also of Chile, Brazil and Uruguay, carried out their repressive actions under a warlike paradigm. The text is divided into two sections: in the first part, the central elements of the historical cycle of repression and political violence in which the Argentine case is inserted are presented, in light of other local experiences. In the second part, the way in which the “war” became the conceptual framework from which in Argentina, and in the other countries studied, state terrorism was implemented is explored.
