dc.description.abstract
The coupling between neutral scalar axions and neutrinos is discussed as a possible mechanism responsible for a non-zero neutrino mass. We add to the conventional Peccei and Queen zeroth-order approach, that is the breaking of the U(1) symmetry at the axion level added to the fourth component of the neutrino current, one loop corrections assuming the composite nature of flavor neutrinos. The calculations are performed for the three active neutrino flavors.
