Social and Political Representations of the COVID-19 Crisis analyzes the different ways in which societies represented the pandemic during 2020 and 2021 and the role of the different elements in those representations and in the political answers from the different governments. It takes in account the role of psychological defense mechanisms like denial and projection, the role of the precautionary principle and the structural characteristics of the Latin American countries in order to understand the different political decissions to deal with a new challenge to those societies like a new pandemic.
