The objective of this paper is to make a comparison of the food practices carried out in Spain and Argentina during the EAC and the ASPO that was decreed in each country. The argumentative strategy will be as follows: a) the main concepts of eating practices and their relationship with bodies/emotions will be presented; b) the data that emerged from the surveys on eating practices will be presented; c) the first comparison of these will be undertaken and, finally; d) the emotions linked to the period of confinement and some reflections on its implications will be presented. This chapter emphasizes eating practices from the perspective of the sociology of bodies/emotions, focusing on the specificities of everyday eating –and its possibilities– in times of pandemic.
