Resumen
Tagalis matamorosae new species and Tagalis pagu new species are described from specimens collected in Barro Colorado, Panama, and Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, respectively. Among the species of Tagalis Stål, both new species have distinct color patterns and genital structures. Tagalis matamorosae n. sp. is the unique species with a gonoplac composed of a pair of sclerites, and T. pagu n. sp. has a curved posteromedial process on the pygophore unique within the genus. Digital images of external characters and genitalia are provided. To facilitate the identification of the new species, an updated key to the species of Tagalis is presented. Male genital structures within the genus and their taxonomic and phylogenetic implications are discussed.
