Geografías posthumanas en Patagonia-Aysén: umbrales, orillas e intersecciones entre animal ∩ humano

Abstract

El presente trabajo se interesa en constatar los procesos de desterritorialización y reterritorialización de los agenciamientos humanos-no humanos en Patagonia-Aysén. Por lo mismo, importará concentrarnos en la co-producción que implica el enjambre superficial de sus asociaciones y desde donde aflorarán, entre otros, los cuerpos del puma, la vaca y sujetos que acá llamaremos fronterizo y ambiental. Sus valores y sentidos, como nos interesa mostrar, no poseen ninguna trascedencia y solo hay jerarquizaciones o juegos de fuerza entre ellos. Finalmente, nos interesa dar cuenta del rol del capital en estos procesos de producción en la medida que potencia su plusvalía desde la economía del deseo y la política de las imágenes para desde allí construir un territorio donde “sujetos dominados” consumirán los nuevos estados desde donde han sido producidos.

This paper addresses the processes of deterritorialization and reterritorialization of human/non-human assemblages in Patagonia-Aysén, located in the south of Chile. Using the region’s new position as an area of conservation as our point of departure, we focus on mechanisms of subjectivation that have produced and currently produce what we will call in this paper the border and the environmental. We are interested, on the one hand, in showing the links between the different agencies (public-private, human-non-human, material and discursive) that participate in these processes and, on the other, in making visible the role that the dynamics of an evolving green capitalism play in them. From a critical perspective, we show, therefore, that the subjects (the border or the environmental) do not only refer to a category or social entity, but to a post-human assemblage (human-animal-thing) that is constantly being traversed by political, economic and social dynamics that are, in turn, closely associated with processes of mobility of value and meaning and the production of space in the southern regions of Chile.
