Prensa del litoral y surgimiento de El Porvenir de Entre Ríos, que “no es un diario oficial del Gobierno” de Justo José de Urquiza, hacia 1850

Abstract

Este trabajo inicial sobre la prensa de Entre Ríos, intenta conocer tanto qué lugar ocupa dentro del paisaje periodístico del litoral (Entre Ríos, Santa Fe y Corrientes) en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, como comprender, analizando un periódico editado en Concepción del Uruguay, si sostiene una “opinión propia” u “oficial”. Nuestra hipótesis es que más allá de las condiciones materiales de la provincia es justamente la acción de determinados lideres políticos, como es el caso de Justo José de Urquiza, las que hacen posible órganos de prensa con cierto grado de importancia. El periódico El Porvenir de Entre Ríos es la fuente principal de indagación, ya que contamos con su serie completa, también hemos consultado material del Archivo General de la Nación y del Archivo Histórico de Entre Ríos.

This initial work on the press of Entre Ríos, tries to know both what place it occupies within the journalistic landscape of the coast (Entre Ríos, Santa Fe and Corrientes) in the first half of the 19th century, and to understand, by analyzing a newspaper published in Concepción del Uruguay, if you hold an "own" or "official" opinion. Our hypothesis is that, beyond the material conditions of the province, it is precisely the action of certain political leaders, as is the case of Justo José de Urquiza, which make possible media outlets with a certain degree of importance. The newspaper El Porvenir de Entre Ríos is the main source of inquiry, since we have its complete series, we have also consulted material from the General Archive of the Nation and the Historical Archive of Entre Ríos.
