El dislocamiento de las ideas: Notas sobre cerrazón epistémica y escucha reparatoria

Abstract

En este escrito me propongo analizar algunos desplazamientos recientes en la Teoría Crítica con motivo de los debates contemporáneos acerca de la cuestión de la neo-colonialidad del poder capitalista. A tales fines: 1) se reconstruyen las recientes formulaciones de la teoría de la sociedad de la externalización y de la crítica a los fundamentos eurocéntricos de la idea de progreso moral; para luego 2) interpretar el ensayo de actualización de la idea del socialismo propuesto por Honneth a la luz de las discusiones sobre la nueva crisis del liberalismo; y 3) analizar los obstáculos epistemológicos y políticos detrás de sus decisiones teóricas. Finalmente, el escrito concluye formulando algunas preguntas acerca del problema de la lectura desde la realidad de las sociedades latinoamericanas.

In this paper I propose to analyze some recent shifts in Critical Theory on the occasion of contemporary debates about the question of the neo-coloniality of capitalist power. To this end, we 1) reconstruct the recent formulations of the theory of the externalization society and of the critique of the Eurocentric foundations of the idea of moral progress; then 2) interpret the essay on the updating of the idea of socialism proposed by Honneth in the light of the discussions on the new crisis of liberalism; and 3) analyze the epistemological and political obstacles behind his theoretical decisions. Finally, the paper concludes by formulating some questions about the problem of reading from the reality of Latin American societies.
