¿Un plan perfecto? el ingreso de Mario J. Buschiazzo a la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes y sus efectos en las historiografía argentina

Abstract

En este artículo se analiza el ingreso del arquitecto Mario J. Buschiazzo a la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes (ANBA) como un momento específico de su trayectoria profesional y se explica cómo durante su período de gestión (1963-1970) desarrolló acciones concretas relacionadas con el área de publicaciones y con los temas de investigación que fomentó, en paralelo, desde su instituto en la universidad. La principal idea es que el intercambio entre estos espacios dedicados al estudio y difusión del patrimonio –en la UBA y la ANBA–, se mantuvo limitado y adaptado a los intereses de Buschiazzo, en lugar de propiciar acciones a largo plazo. El ingreso a la ANBA una década más tarde de historiadores formados junto con él en el seno del Instituto de Arte Americano e Investigaciones Estéticas, presentó nuevas posibilidades de expansión en proyectos editoriales y en asociaciones con otros organismos.

This article analyse Mario J. Buschiazzo’s admission to the National Academy of Fine Arts (ANBA) as a specific moment in his professional career. Also, I explain how during this period (1963-1970) he carried out specific actions related to the area of publishing projects and with the research topics that he promoted, in parallel, from his institute at the university. The main idea postulated in this article is that the exchange between these institutions dedicated to the study and dissemination of heritage —the UBA and the ANBA— remained limited and adapted to the interests of Buschiazzo, instead of promoting long-term actions. The entrance to the ANBA, a decade later, of historians trained along with him at the Instituto de Arte Americano e Investigaciones Estéticas, presented new possibilities for expansion and in associations with other organizations.
