Friedrich von Hardenberg (Novalis) y William Wordsworth: Poesía romántica y mustia rebelión contra el Antropoceno

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo realizar una crítica del Antropoceno temprano (comienzos del siglo XIX) e indagar sobre los problemas planteados por esta nueva fase tecnogeológica. Para comprender dicho propósito, se indaga en algunos poemas del Romanticismo alemán (Novalis) y el inglés (William Wordsworth). En estos autores, la poesía funciona como un discurso filosófico y político que advierte sobre las consecuencias de la hipostásis del ente humano en detrimento de la naturaleza y el auge de la razón instrumental capitalista. Al mismo tiempo, estos problemas crean las condiciones para una superación, a través de la poesía, del Antropoceno y sus crisis.

El present article té com a objectiu realitzar una crítica de l’Antropocè primerenc (començaments del segle XIX) i indagar sobre els problemes plantejats per aquesta nova fase tecnogeològica. Per a comprendre aquest propòsit, s’indaga en alguns poemes del Romanticisme alemany (Novalis) i de l’anglès (William Wordsworth). En aquests autors, la poesia funciona com un discurs filosòfic i polític que adverteix sobre les conseqüències de la hipòstasi de l’ens humà en detriment de la naturalesa i l’auge de la raó instrumental capitalista. Al mateix temps, aquests problemes creen les condicions per a una superació, a través de la poesia, de l’Antropocè i les seves crisis.

The objective of this article is to carry out a critique of the early Anthropocene (beginning of the 19th century) and to investigate the problems posed by this new technogeological phase. To understand this purpose, a critical genealogy must be traced in German (Novalis) and English (William Wordsworth) Romanticism. In these authors, poetry functions as a philosophical and political discourse that warns about the consequences of the hypostasis of the human entity to the detriment of nature, as well as the rise of capitalist instrumental reason. At the same time, these problems create the conditions for overcoming, through poetry, the Anthropocene and its crises.
