El aborto en la escena pública: activismos, feminismos y creaciones artísticas en la provincia de Tucumán (Argentina)

Abstract

El artículo que aquí presentamos busca recuperar, describir y analizar dos expresiones artísticas en torno al aborto, realizadas desde activistas feministas de la provincia de Tucumán(Argentina) en el año 2017. Nos referimos al libro Manchón y cuenta nueva. Antología de relatos sobre abortos (2017) y la intervención callejera de la virgen que aborta, realizada por la agrupación feminista Socorro Rosa Tucumán. Ambas formaron parte de los reclamos y manifestaciones de las activistas feministas al Estado Argentino por la legalización del aborto. Para el análisis de dichas expresiones artísticas apelamos a fuentes periodísticas, información disponible en redes sociales y a una entrevista en profundidad realizada a una de las protagonistas de la intervención callejera, que fue también una de las autoras del libro mencionado. A partir del análisis realizado, es posible considerar que las producciones artísticas hablan de su época y reflejan, a través de recursos estéticos y metafóricos, algunos aspectos del clima social circundante.

The article we present here seeks to recover, describe and analyze two artistic expressions around abortion, made by feminist activists from the province of Tucumán (Argentina) in 2017. We are referring to the book Manchón y cuenta nueva. Antología de relatos sobre abortos (2017) and the street intervention of the virgin who aborts, carried out by the feminist group Socorro Rosa Tucumán. Both were part of the claims and demonstrations of feminist activists to the Argentine State for the legalization of abortion. To analyze these artistic expressions, we appeal to journalistic sources, information available on social networks and an in-depth interview conducted with one of the protagonists of the street intervention who was also one of the authors of the aforementioned book. From the analysis carried out, it is possible to consider that the artistic productions speak of their time and reflect, through aesthetic and metaphorical resources, some aspects of the surrounding social climate.
