El debate sobre el pacto social en la revista Novos Estudos

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es ampliar y continuar un trabajo en perspectiva comparada que recupere los debates ideológico-políticos de las transiciones democráticas en el sur de América Latina pensándolas, a diferencia de los clásicos trabajos de la ciencia política, como un contexto de debate de ideas en la clave que nos sugiere la nueva historia intelectual. Para ello, vamos a recuperar el debate de ideas en la revista Novos Estudos en torno a cómo operó la figura del pacto para pensar la transición democrática en Brasil. Nos proponemos indagar cuál es la especificidad que adquiere el “pacto social”, qué dimensiones incorpora y en qué se diferencia de otros tipos de pacto presentes en otras experiencias transicionales. Esto nos permitirá avanzar en nuestra hipótesis sobre la existencia de un lenguaje político común sobre el cual se pensaron las (re) construcciones democráticas del Cono Sur.

The objective of this work is to expand and continue a work in comparative perspective that recovers the ideological-political debates of democratic transitions in southern Latin America, thinking of them, unlike the classic works of political science, as a context of debate in the key suggested by the new intellectual history. We propose to recover the debate of ideas in the journal Novos Estudos about how the figure of the pact operated to think about the democratic transition in Brazil. We propose to investigate what is the specificity the “social pact” acquires, what dimensions it incorporates and how it differs from other types of pacts present in other transitional experiences. This will allow us to advance on our hypothesis about the existence of a common political language on which the democratic (re) constructions of the southern cone were thought.
