Patrimonio y Estado en el noroeste argentino 1938- 1955

Abstract

El siguiente estudio analiza el proceso de patrimonialización del noroeste argentino entre los años 1938- 1955 llevado a cabo por el Estado central a través de su dependencia experta, la Comisión Nacional de Monumentos, Museos y Lugares Históricos (CNMMyLH). Se examina la construcción patrimonial no como un fenómeno dado, sino como el resultado del accionar de dicha agencia y los tipos de vínculos establecidos con las élites y los expertos provinciales. Así pues, se problematiza en torno a las versiones ideológicas y hegemónicas que la CNMMyLH impuso y/o negoció en la activación simbólica y patrimonial del noroeste argentino, y, asimismo, con qué versiones colaboró, coexistió y/o excluyó de forma más o menos conflictiva.

The following study analyzes the process of patrimonialization of the Argentine Northwest between 1938 and 1955, carried out by the central state through its expert dependency, the National Commission of Monuments, Museums and Historic Places (NCMMHP). Heritage construction is examined not as a given phenomenon but as the result of the actions of said agency and the type of links established with provincial elites and experts. Thus, it is problematized around the ideological and hegemonic versions that the NCMMHP imposed and/or negotiated in the symbolic and patrimonial activation of northwestern Argentina, and similarly, with which versions they collaborated, coexisted and/or excluded in a conflictive way.
