100 años de la Encuesta Nacional de Folklore (1921-2021): Reflexiones, balances y desafíos

Abstract

En 2021 se cumplieron 100 años de la realización de la Encuesta Nacional de Folklore. En homenaje a este voluminoso y extraordinario archivo, la Dra. Carolina Crespo, la Dra. Alicia Martín y el Mag. Leandro Pankonin, organizaron ese año dos conversatorios con investigadores de muy diversas trayectorias formativas que han tenido distinto tipo de vínculo con este material. El propósito de estos encuentros fue reflexionar sobre la Encuesta y poner de manifiesto la relevancia que aún hoy sigue teniendo después de un siglo de su confección. El evento se sumó a una serie de otras iniciativas conmemorativas que realizó el Instituto Nacional de Antropología y Pensamiento Latinoamericano sobre la misma. Dado el contexto de pandemia de COVID 19 y la imposibilidad de realizar reuniones presenciales, los conversatorios se desarrollaron bajo un formato virtual. En esta serie de la revista Cuadernos reproducimos las distintas lecturas sobre la Encuesta y sus usos que fueron compartidas en ambos encuentros.

In 2021, we will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Folklore Survey. To honor this significant and extensive archive, Carolina Crespo, Alicia Martín, and Leandro Pankonin organized two round table discussions throughout the year. These discussions brought together researchers from diverse professional backgrounds who have had various connections with this material. The purpose of these meetings was to reflect on the Survey and emphasize its continued relevance even after a century since its completion. The event was part of a series of commemorative initiatives organized by the National Institute of Anthropology and Latin American Thought. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impossibility of holding in-person meetings, the discussions took place in a virtual format. In this article, we present the different interpretations and uses of the Survey that were shared during these meetings.
