“Más mujeres en el taller”: del “proyecto pedagógico” a la acción colectiva por el derecho a aparecer en la escuela técnica

Abstract

En la Argentina, es posible reconocer huellas de las luchas de los movimientos de mujeres y de disidencias sexogenéricas por el reconocimiento a participar plenamente en el mundo social en las políticas educativas, en general, y en las de la modalidad técnica del nivel secundario, en particular. Este artículo examina las acciones colectivas de un grupo de docentes y estudiantes mujeres que buscan subvertir las normas de género androcéntricas que han regulado históricamente las escuelas técnicas (en especial, las llamadas “especialidades duras”) en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Para ello, describe y analiza las formas de organización, los repertorios y efectos de las acciones de Recargadas, un grupo de mujeres que conforman la primera y única escudería de automóviles exclusivamente femenina. El corpus analizado proviene de entrevistas biográficas de foto-elucidación y de entrevistas grupales realizadas con las docentes del proyecto, así como el análisis de imágenes provistas por ellas o disponibles en redes sociales. El artículo argumenta que, más allá de los objetivos de la política educativa que motorizó la creación de esta escudería, las mujeres participantes de este proyecto escolar fueron performando una grupalidad e identidad colectiva como mujeres de escuelas técnicas y, al hacerlo, lucharon por el derecho a aparecer y a ser reconocidas como iguales. De esta manera, su acción colectiva tornó pensable y deseable la figura de la “mujer técnica”, y desestabilizó la histórica asociación entre la figura del técnico con la del varón.

In Argentina, it is possible to recognize traces of the struggles of women’s movements and gender-based dissidence for recognition to participate fully in the social world in educational policies, in general, and in those of the technical modality at the secondary level, in particular. This article examines the collective actions of a group of female teachers and students who seek to subvert the androcentric gender norms that have historically regulated technical schools (especially the so-called “hard specialties”) in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. To this end, it describes and analyses the organizational forms, repertoires, and effects of the actions of Recargadas, a group of women who make up the first and only all-female car racing team. Our methodological design includes biographical photo-elicitation interviews and group interviews with Recargadas’s teachers and the analysis of images provided by them or available in Internet. We argue that, beyond the objectives of the educational policy that drove the creation of this racing team, the women participating in this school project were performing a collective groupness and identity as women from technical schools and in doing so fought for the right to appear and be recognized as equals. In this way, their collective action contributed to destabilize the historical association between the figure of the technician and that of the male, making the figure of the “technical woman” thinkable and desirable.
