A revision is presented of the species described by Edwards in the genus Metriocnemus van der Wulp. The species M. fasciventris Edwards and M. griseovitattus are redescribed and the immatures of the former species are described for first time. Two new species of Metriocnemus, M. cavipenis sp. nov. and M. tucumanus sp. nov., are described and figured based on adult males.
