Resumen

Ewan has been more than just my PhD advisor for me. During all these years, he has also shown me a more empathic side of the scientific community, one that is usually not seen. I look up to him both professionally and personally, and I feel very fortunate to have been his student. From just a coffee, our regular Skype sessions, collaborating on a manuscript, or simply sharing a beer has been an opportunity to learn from him. I will be forever grateful for everything he has taught me over these years together.
