Juventudes políticas y derechos humanos: el “Festival contra el indulto” y el activismo político humanitario

Abstract

El 21 de septiembre de 1989 la Asociación Madres de Plaza de Mayo y las juventudes políticas realizaron el acto y “Festival contra el indulto” con la participación de artistas populares de rock y folclore. El evento condensó la participación juvenil en pos de los derechos humanos y se desarrolló en un momento histórico marcado por los retrocesos en la política de enjuiciamiento a miembros de las Fuerzas Armadas, la falta de respuesta del Estado a la legislación social y las evidencias concretas de la crisis económica. El objetivo del artículo es indagar en el “Festival contra el indulto” observando qué intereses proyectaron las juventudes políticas que lo organizaron y/o participaron de esta convocatoria; qué intereses impulsaban las organizaciones de derechos humanos respecto a los jóvenes; y qué discursividades sociales circulaban en los medios de comunicación en torno a la relación entre los jóvenes y el accionar político-humanitario. De esta manera, se espera observar el interés y la movilización juveniles pos de las convocatorias por los derechos humanos y ofrecer hilos de análisis para discutir las concepciones que el Estado y los medios hegemónicos intentaron construir en torno a la juventud.

On September 21, 1989, the Association Madres de Plaza de Mayo and the political youth held the act and " Festival contra el indulto " with the participation of popular rock and folk artists. The event condensed youth participation in pursuit of human rights, in a historical moment marked by setbacks in the policy of prosecuting members of the armed forces, the lack of response by the State to social legislation and the concrete evidence of the crisis economical. The objective of the article is to investigate the " Festival contra el indulto " observing what interests projected the political youths that organized it and / or participated in this call; what interests were promoted by human rights organizations regarding young people; and what social discursivities circulated in the media about the relationship between young people and political-humanitarian action. In this way, it is expected to observe the interest and youth mobilization in pursuit of the calls for human rights and offer threads of analysis to discuss the conceptions that the State and the hegemonic media tried to build around youth.
