La política y sus escenas en la Argentina del siglo XXI

Abstract

A começos desse século XXI, um vigoroso movimiento popular fazia cair, na Argentina, um governoelegido pouco mais de dois anos antes e abría, ao mesmo tempo, um novo ciclo na história do país eum novo conjunto de desafíos para o pensamento teórico sobre a política. Diante de uma discussão queopôs aqueles que qualificaram esse movimento como “político” por sua capacidade de impactar nasinstituições governamentais do Estado e aqueles que o descreveram como “antipolítico” porqueidentificavam a política com aquelas mesmas instituições que essa manifestação veio a movimentar, estetrabalho opta por enfatizar que aquele foi, sim, um evento político, mas que a sua dimensão política foia forma como permitiu o surgimento de um sujeito ou de um grupo de sujeitos que, por meio da suaação e da sua palavra, ampliou o espaço da discussão coletiva sobre o destino do país. E sugere que ocaminho para ser fieis ao que esse impulso teve de mais inovador é perseverar hoje, em condiçõeshistóricas muito diferentes das de vinte anos atrás, na necessidade de sustentar o espaço públicodemocrático como um espaço aberto à possibilidade de permanente aparição e expressão das maisdiversas vozes que venham a enriquecer a necessária discussão sobre o futuro do país que os cidadãosargentinos têm pela frente.

At the beginning of the 21st century, a vigorous popular movement brought down, in Argentina, a government elected just over two years earlier and, at the same time, opened a new cycle in the country's history and a new set of challenges for theoretical thinking about the politics. Faced with a discussion that opposed those who qualified this movement as “political” for its ability to impact the governmental institutions of the State and those who described it as “anti-political” because they identified politics with those institutions that this manifestation came to move, this article chooses to emphasize that the popular movement of December 2001 was, indeed, a political event, but that its political dimension is to be found in the way in which it allowed the emergence of a subject or a group of subjects who, through their actions and their words, expanded the space for collective discussion about the country's destiny. And it suggests that the way to be faithful to what was most innovative in this impulse is to persevere today, in historical conditions very different from those of twenty years ago, in the need to sustain the democratic public space as a space open to the possibility of permanent appearance and expression. of the most diverse voices that will enrich the necessary discussion about the future of the country that Argentine citizens face.
