Distancia y enunciación: Variación en la autorreferencia singular (1.ª, 2.ª y 3.ª persona) en entrevistas realizadas a Hugo Chávez

Abstract

En este artículo, ofrecemos un análisis de la variación morfosintáctica intrahablante primera, segunda y tercera persona singular como formas autorreferencia en un corpus compuesto por entrevistas periodísticas realizadas a Hugo Chávez (Venezuela). El enfoque del problema de investigación fue realizado desde la perspectiva de la variación lingüística y basado en los postulados teórico-metodológicos de la teoría de la Escuela Lingüística de Columbia. Asimismo, nos hemos valido de aportes de la teoría polifónica de la enunciación. En esta oportunidad analizamos cuatro parámetros relacionados con la dimensión enunciativa: a) tipo de discurso (referido vs. no referido), b) fuente del discurso referido (el hablante vs otro), c) tipo de discurso referido (directo/indirecto) y d) rol que juega el emisor en el enunciado referido (destinatario/no destinatario). Los resultados indican que los cuatro factores influyen en la frecuencia relativa de las formas estudiadas. Concluimos que la alternancia en el uso de las formas de 1s, 2s y 3s no se debe al azar, sino que responde a las necesidades comunicativas del hablante para explicar diferentes modos de autopresentación en el discurso y posicionarse respecto de las versiones de sí que circulan a su alrededor.

In this article, we offer an analysis of intra-speaking morphosyntactic variation in the first, second and third singular person as self-reference forms in a corpus composed of journalistic interviews made to Hugo Chávez (Venezuela). This research problem was approached from linguistic variation perspective and based on the theoretical-methodological postulates of Columbia Linguistic School theory. Likewise, we have used contributions from the polyphonic theory of enunciation. On this occasion, we analyze four parameters related to the enunciative dimension: a) the type of speech (referred vs. not referred), b) the source of referred speech (speaker vs. other), c) the type of referred speech (direct / indirect) and d) the role played by the speaker in referred statement (addressee / non-addressee). The results indicate that the four factors influence on the relative frequency of the forms studied. We conclude that alternation in the use of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd forms is not by chance, but it responds to the communicative needs of the speaker to explain different ways of self-introduction in speech and to position oneself regarding the self versions that circulate around him.
