Las violencias en las narrativas deportivas del fútbol femenino: el caso de la sección deportiva del diario el Tribuno de Salta

Abstract

En este artículo abordamos el tratamiento periodístico del fútbol femenino en un medio de circulación dominante de la provincia de Salta. Entendemos que los medios de comunicación son grandes constructores de sentidos y construyen su agenda a partir de aquellas representaciones dominantes en la sociedad, pero también van atendiendo a ciertas interpelaciones contextuales. En este caso, nos focalizamos en las violencias como tópico recurrente en la visibilización/invisibilización de la práctica. Para realizar nuestra indagación, construimos uncorpus teórico de las noticias deportivas de la web del diario El Tribuno de Salta, durante el período 2014-2020. A partir de las herramientas del análisis del discurso y de las teorías del periodismo indagamos, por un lado: cómo se construyen las noticias cuando las protagonistas de los hechos de violencias son las jugadoras, qué legitimidades/ilegitimidades circulan y qué lugar de enunciación presenta el medio. Por otro lado, nos interesa reflexionar sobre cómo aparecen las noticias cuando las jugadoras son víctimas de situaciones de violencia, quiénes toman la palabra, qué sentidos se privilegian.

In this article, we approach the journalistic treatment of women’s football in a mainstream media from Salta province. We understand that mass media are big meaning-builders and that they construct their agendas from society’s hegemonic representations, but they also attend to certain contextual interpellations. In this case, we’ll focus on violences as a recurring topic in the practice’s visibilization and invisibilization. In order to perform our investigation, we built a theoretical framework of the sport articles from El Tribuno’s website, during the 2014-2020 period. Based on the discourse analysis contributions and the theories of journalism, we inquired, on the one hand, the way news are built when the women’s football are the ones who encourage violence, which legitimacies/illegitimacies circulate and which position of enunciation is presented by this media. On the other hand, we are interested in thinking of how the news are presented when female players are the victims of violence, which ones are voices that are authorized to take the floor, which senses are privileged.
