Heladas agrometeorológicas en el suroeste bonaerense, Argentina (2013-2017)

Abstract

Conocer el comportamiento de las heladas resulta vital para la toma de decisiones en el sector agropecuario. En este trabajo se analiza la frecuencia, duración, intensidad, y fecha de ocurrencia de las heladas agrometeorológicas en el suroeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires (2013-2017). Se aplican procedimientos estadísticos, interpolación (Distancia Inversa Ponderada) y se realiza cartografía aplicada. Como resultado se observa que, la distribución espacial de las heladas no es homogénea. Las heladas tempranas y tardías se manifiestan en toda la región y principalmente en el sector oeste, afectando, en mayor medida, a las localidades más continentales.

Knowing the behavior of frost in terms of frequency, seasonality and intensity is vital for decision making in the agricultural sector. This paper analyzes the frequency, duration, intensity and date of occurrence of agrometeorological frosts of the southwest of Buenos Aires province (2013-2017). Statistical procedures, interpolation (Inverse Weighted Distance) and applied mapping were applied. As a result, the spatial distribution of frosts is not homogeneous. Early and late frosts occur throughout the region and mainly in the western sector, affecting the most continental localities to a greater extent.
