El vuelo de Fitz Gerald en la prensa argentina: Análisis de los criterios de noticiabilidad en Crónica

Abstract

El vuelo de Miguel Fitz Gerald a Malvinas en 1964 representó el primer acontecimiento en que la sociedad civil intervino en el reclamo argentino por la soberanía del Archipiélago. La primicia del vuelo no llegó de la mano de los grandes diarios, sino a través de un medio gráfico emergente como Crónica. Por tal motivo, en el presente artículo nos proponemos analizar el proceso de producción de la noticia del vuelo en Crónica a partir de los Criterios de noticiabilidad propuestos por Stella Martini. A fin de complejizar el análisis, estableceremos puntos de relación con Clarín, diario con mayor tirada de ese año.

The Miguel Fitz Gerald’s flight to Malvinas in 1964 was the first event in which civil society took action in the claim for the sovereignty of the archipelago. The scoop about the flight was not published by the big newspapers, but in an emergent media, Crónica. For that reason, the aim of this article is to analyse the production of the Fitz Gerald flight’s new, through Stella Martini’s Noticeability criteria. In order to deepen the investigation, the relations between Clarín (the most published newspaper in 1964) and Crónica will be presented.
